Smart Replicas research project

Smart Replicas is a research project of Studio Maaike Roozenburg, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, AR Lab en TU-Delft; a project at the intersection of design, cultural heritage and science. Students of the KABK's Graphic Design department, under guidance of Gert Dumbar and the AR Lab, will contribute on this project. Students of Industrial Design Engineering department of Delft University of Technology will work on this project as well.

The goal is to compile an exhibition at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Information on the project will be posted on Maaike Roozenburg's blog (in Dutch). The blog contains information on: the selection process; sketching and experimenting with the historical objects and content; making of the 3D objects; replica’s and rip-offs; the review; testing and experimenting with AR–codes; markers and apps; and finally, the review of results and tests.
