Code Pop-Up Gallery: Coding Victory Boogie Woogie. On Tuesday 23 April 2013
Coding as skill for artists. Works by ArtScience/C0d3l4b students as well as some works from the contest to code Mondriaan's Victory Boogie Woogie, will be on show on TUESDAY 23 April, at 16.00 hrs in the Gallery. This is an extra Pop-Up Gallery in the Pop-Up series initiated by the research department IVT. The first Pop Up Gallery was with Graphic Design students, followed by Photography students and Fine Art students. The Pop-Up Galleries are organized by Dirk Vis and head of the research department IVT Yolande Kolstee as well as respective teachers Arnoud van den Heuvel, Ferenc Molnár, Pawel Pokutycki, Nick van 't End, Marcus Graf and Nenad Popov.
Utrecht based medialab Set-Up organised the contest to code Mondriaan's paiting Victory Boogie Woogie. On 19 April 2013, judge Ionica Smeets talked about the Elegant Algorithms contest on the talkshow Pauw en Witteman. On Sunday 21 April 2013, the winner was announced at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague. Some of these works will also be exhibited during our Extra Code Pop-Up event.
