New AR(T) installation at TodaysArt Festival, The Hague
On Friday and Saturday, September 21-22 from 17.00 till 00.00 the AR+RFID Lab will present its new Augmented Reality installation in the Filmhuis / ZAAL 7 (Spui 191, Den Haag). Our exhibition is a part of TodaysArt Festival, an event for adventurous creativity in design, music, art, fashion, art-science, theater, film and other disciplines and crossovers.
AR+RFID Lab artist in residence Marina de Haas together with Wim van Eck, Jan Willem Brandenburg, Jurjen Caarls and Alwin van Rooij created a unique audio-visual AR environment made of round objects leading back to the basics of all organic shapes on earth. The ellipse shapes come out of the walls and find their way into the space of Zaal 7. When you wear the Augmented Reality headset you are bound to stay in a circle of 1.50 meter from the table, which is set
in the middle of the space near the wall. This means you will see and hear spheres flying through the space. The whole background setting is also guided by sound, moving, breathing, with sphere’s coming out of the walls and move back into the walls.
